Time Warp
Wow, we have been SO involved with work, school, life... I think I forgot all about this blog. So, just for laughs, I'm going to do this post in the manner of the previous posts.

Ben is now 15 and 3 months, measuring 5' 9.75". Getting to be such a big lad! He has finished his freshman year of high school, which was a total washout due to the hybrid program of being in school just two days a week, and online school for 3 days. So. He made it through a lousy year of wearing masks all day in school, but was at least able to get together with friends on occasion. We're seeing what can be done about returning to school for 5 days a week and optional masks. Fingers crossed. Ron and Ben had the 'rona early last year and recovered quickly. I had a very mild case the following week, just felt like a cold.
Ben loves playing sports and spending time with his friends. He likes sprinting, soccer, and has a new interest in volleyball. He is an avid reader and enjoys anime; we had new bookshelves built for him in February and he's put them to good use. He also has fun online gaming with his friends and his favorite movie is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He relaxes while drawing and is quite talented. He doesn't want to draw for a living, however. His real passion is debate. We've been terribly impressed by some of the papers he's written - he's so bright! We're very proud of Ben for who he is. He's insightful, thoughtful, empathetic, driven and independent. He's thoroughly sarcastic and has an excellent sense of humor
Ben has gotten his working papers and will be working in his friend's father's company for the rest of the summer, once he returns from visiting family in the ABQ. He's been working out there as well, and has been enjoying the work, and the time with our family, tremendously. Now for some pictures...
